Tree Solutions Tree Box High Performance (HP)

The Tree Box High Performance (HP) supports heavy traffic loads whilst maintaining a full open root zone for the trees through which they can develop in a sustainable manner.
The key feature and benefits of this system are as follows:
- Walls created in Permavoid® units; allowing free flow of water and oxygen.
- Concrete slabs on which all types of pavements can be constructed.
- Filled with nutritious, non-compacted soil.
- Will support heavy traffic loads
- Good oxygen and water control.
- Recyclable Materials.
- Refillable, so a long life is guaranteed.
- Available as retrofit module for use with existing trees. In this instance If the soil between the roots is purged, the modules can be placed over the roots.
The construction process for a typical Tree Box HP installations is as follows:
- Excavate the sub-base
- Set the concrete crosses.
- Set the concrete under lintel in place.
- Set the Permavoid® walls in position.
- Apply a geotextile on the outside of the Permavoid® walls.
- Add nutrient-rich tree soil into the construction and do not compact this.
- Set the concrete slabs, 20 cm, with and without tree mating.
- The Permavoid® walls are resting against the recess on the outside of the concrete slab.
- Finish with asphalt, concrete block paving, etc.
- Street lights, bicycle clips etc. can be fixed in the structure.
